R HOUSE” is an ongoing project consisting of a boutique hotel in a protected beach reserve, where the architecture of the bungalows is inspired by the core of Caribbean marine life: the reef — the place where life is generated and, at the same time, a representation of the “home” of the ecosystem.

The concrete is poured using a special technique, and on day 28, sections of the formwork are removed so that the surfaces of the building can be worked and sculpted to achieve their final appearance.

These concrete volumes are characterized by their open spaces and integration with lush vegetation, representing a fresh and innovative approach to architecture, while simultaneously paying homage to Brutalism, a movement widely developed in Cuba by great masters of the 1950s.

The use of concrete gives the house a robust yet elegant appearance, while the open-plan design creates a sense of spaciousness and freedom. Surrounded by nature, this house offers a peaceful setting that blends seamlessly with its environment.
